Name: LaVern Payne Position: Bass & Lead Vocals LaVern is the manager of the Echos of Faith. He switches between bass and lead vocals depending on the arrangement and is emcee for the group. Born and raised in North Georgia, singing gospel music was a natural part of life. From Sunday morning services to revivals and old fashioned singing conventions, LaVern was there leading both the adult and youth choirs or singing in the congregation. Along with singing in the group, LaVern is very active in his home church affairs, serving as deacon, Sunday School teacher, and choir director. LaVern also engineered and mixed both the Echos of Faith's CDs and is responsible for maintaining the group's website.
